Santa Ana County is one of 20 counties comprising the Metropolitan Area of the San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica.
The neighborhood of Santa Ana is an upscale suburb just west of Escazu.

and views of the city of San Jose in the Central Valley below.

Santa Ana is home to an 18-hole golf course Parque Valle del Sol (tel. 282-9222; www.vallesol.com) in the western suburb of Santa Ana. Greens fees here run $75 for 18 holes, including a golf cart.
