County of Turrubares Costa Rica
Turrubares County is the westernmost county of San Jose Province.
On the Pacific slopes of the Talamanca Mountain Range, San Pablo de Turrubares
is at the intersection of two highways heading to the Pacific Coast beach
areas.
The Turrubares Protected Zone covers important headwaters that flow into
the Rio Grande de Tarcoles, whose mouth empties into the Pacific just north
of Jaco Beach.
