Leon
Cortes Castro County Costa Rica is located south of the capital city of San
Jose. The county is named after a former President of Costa Rica, from 1936
to 1940. There is a statue in honor of Leon Cortes Castro.
Vacation activities in the area include naturalist hiking and rock climbing at the Rio Grande and Bajo Canet in Leon Cortes.
