Valverde Vega County Costa Rica
Sarchi Costa Rica, Valverde Vega County is a cool climate mountain town,
and popular on the route for cross-country mountain biking tours. In Sarchi,
you will find Costa Rica's signature souvenirs, the hand-painted miniature
ox-carts, at many of the artisan shops in the small town.
The Rio Toro Protected zone is part of the National Parks system of Costa
Rica, and is partially located in Valverde Vega in the District of Toro Amarillo
(the Yellow Bull).
Many tour operators have day trips available for tourists to visit Sarchi
and shop. It is an excellent destination for a mid-day break on the road
if you are traveling to the Arenal Volcano region.
