The Rio Gato and the Rio Pejibaya have headwaters in the mountains of
the
Rio Macho Forest Reserve, then flow northward to join the Rio
Revantazon
southeast of the town of Juan Vinas de Jimenez in Cartago Province.
The district of Tucurrique de Jimenez Canton has some beautiful scenic
drives
with many overlooks of the Revantazon Valley, the forests and
waterfalls
in the area are lush and inviting. 4WD car is highly recommended in
order
to find the scenic back roads and places off-the-beaten-track.
