Oreamuno
Canton is bordered by the Rio Sucio, which flows through Braulio
Carrillo
National Park and meets the Sarapiqui River to the north.
The highway from Cartago up the slopes to the Irazu Volcano visitor
center
passes through the city of San Rafael de Oreamuno. This highway is
completely
paved, and a scenic drive overlooking the river valleys.
On
the western slopes of Irazu, you will find the Parque Recreativo
Oreamuno,
with visitor camping and picnic grounds, botanical gardens and mushroom
farms.
