Nandayure Costa Rica
Carmona is the municipalidad, or county seat, of Nandayure Canton. This
is the southernmost county of Guanacaste on the Nicoya Peninsula. The
remainder
of the Southern Nicoya Peninsula is part of Puntarenas Province.
Included
in this county is the Isla Berrugate in the northern Gulf of Nicoya.
Because
they are still somewhat remote and less accessible by car, the Pacific
beaches
along the coastline of Nandayure Canton are uncrowded, secluded and
undeveloped.
These beaches include Playa Camaronal, Punta Islita, Playa Bejuco, San
Miguel
and Playa Coyote, Caletas and Bongo. Visitors to the area will find
guest
houses and cabinas, as well as a wonderful butterfly farm near San
Miguel.
