Esparza County Costa Rica
Traveling along the InterAmerican highway, you will pass through
Esparza
County on the route to Puntarenas City. From there, a spur of the
Coastal
Highway will take you back inland a bit on the way to Orotina.
Here you will find the main Port of Caldera, where many cruise ships
drop
off vacation travelers on the shores of the Gulf of Nicoya. Some
tourist
activities in the area include boating in the Gulf, visiting its
islands,
or taking the ferry across to the many tourist destinations and resorts
along
the southern Nicoya Peninsula.
