Coto Brus Canton Costa Rica
The Canton de Coto Brus is a large county in the southern zone of Costa
Rica whose largest city is San Vito. Popular vacation destinations are
the
Wilson Botanical Gardens and the Las Tablas Protected Zone, an outlying
area
of the LA Amistad Inter National Park and Biosphere Zone.
Primarily a mountainous agricultural region, the Talamanca Mountain
Range
of Coto Brus extends all the way to the border of Panama.
Both San Vito and its southern neighbor Agua Buena, are popular areas
for
expat communites, since the mountainous climate is cool and breezy, yet
just
a short drive to the coastal beaches for vacation activities.
