Corredores Canton Costa Rica
Corredores Canton is the southern most section of the Pan-American
Highway,
and leads to Paso Canoas at the border with Panama. The majority of
Corredores
is agricultural land, with large plantations of bananas and palm.
Villa Neily, sometimes called Ciudad Neily,
is the municpalidad or county seat. It provides commerce and shopping
for
the area, as well as government services and a large hospital and
medical
care.
If you are traveling by car and entering Costa Rica at Paso Canoas from
Panama,
expect to stop a few miles inland at a traffic checkpoint. Have your
passport
and driver's license handy, and you may even be asked to open the trunk
for
a cursory inspection from the traffic police. They are very polite and
friendly.
